romance
i was just wondering where all the romance is? is it in the weakness? in the mystery? in the forbearing and long suffering? in the long term and in the faithful? is it steadiness that is really romantic? does "the moment in time" really only matter if you bear the weight of the years, mundane and all. Could there ever even be romance without love.
love is. patient, kind, does not envy, or boast, is not proud, or rude, is not self seeking, is not easily angered, keeps no record of wrongs, does not delight in evil, but rejoices in truth, it always protects always trusts always hopes, always perseveres. love never fail.
romance & speech
words only describe beauty and are in fact only beautiful when they are true, just as love is only love when its true and without condition not because it is spoken.
emotion is crucial when talking about true love and true romance as well as actual beauty yet emotion is none of the above.
often emotion is set as the reason for love or the beginning of it or spoke of as love in its entirety. i would like to challenge that idea even in my own heart. emotion is what encompasses the truth, true love. its what allows you to put emphasis and passion into love. its the passion aspect if you will. it cannot be love in any regard because it fluctuates and true love exists even in time of distress, even in times of happiness' absense. when and love will be tried, its origin in falsehood or truth appear clearly.
at the same time i believe that the feelings\emotions that have been established on more than just "my flesh cries out" but rather the heart crying out. that those feelings even in sadness and or anger or even pain and sorrow will remain and possibly be driven into a desperate consuming passion burning inside that cannot be quenched - which i would describe as a part of true love. emotion that is real that cannot disappear no matter the circumstance.
