Theology, and Theoretical Arguments.
This has become a prevalent and common occurrence in recent times. And as far as I stand I am not enjoying it. I think as Richard the cousin says, "futile". I mean there are definitely some good conversations to be had some even need to take place between certain peoples and the people within the church. That being said, I would also say that this idea of "theology" and "right and wrong", as well as WE CANNOT KNOW AND SO EVERYONE IS RIGHT - attitude is so incredibly discouraging.
Theology - This is my personal take on it from what I have seen.
- It is about proving points/which are unprovable because every point CAN? be right.
- Futile Argument.
- Argument Edicut.
- Questioning faith rather than asking questions about faith.
- Not Knowing.
- In a sense acknowledging our humanity.
- With that acknowledgment however brings the fact that God didn't realize that we are humans and so He made everything more complicated than it is, because we can't figure it out and He didn't want us to.
- In the end I find that learning and gaining knowledge of the word is a necessity but really theology has nothing to do with it, it is arguments to prove things that theologians don't believe is provable, in the end it's a believe what you want situation anyways.
I just think that what should happen in theology is the study of what really is there, which is the truth because it has come from the lips of God and therefore any changing coming to it is BLASPHEMY. We should study what IS to be studied, the truth, which is absolute and is not so incredibly complicated. And it has nothing to do with the fact that someone believes in something else that makes THE TRUTH - less true.
So that was my little blurb I am going to keep it short because it makes me upset and I want this to actually help not to confuse people that don't have understanding greater than my own.
