defy all the opposed

You can oppose all that comes your way but what will you become? Will you become everything that you try not to be? Can you succeed in fighting against bitterness and all the things that you try to defy?

Although sometimes I wish this were true I don't believe you can escape your past and who your parents are or who your friends are. You can choose your friends. You can't choose your family but you can't control how they affect you unless you get rid of them. Can you really erase them? Or the past you had with them? No.

I know that it is horrible when you try so terribly hard not to become like your parents, especially and specifically in the areas they hurt you. Don't you see people become just that? Become exactly what they are trying to avoid, they want their entire lives to be different to even fight against it yet they become that very thing. That is a scary thought.

How do you avoid becoming what you have longed to oppose, something you have purposely tried to become opposite of? Is it through forgiveness? Is it through effort? How can you manage to change, to do better in the areas where bitterness and hurt has taken place in your life. How can you learn and grow through those experiences so that you do not become what you would hate to become. How can you be different then all the hurt that has broken your life, feels like your life has been destroyed and it is the last thing you would want to become, the last thing you would want to do. How do you become something else? Is it possible to do it on your own? To do it with natural strength and self-control?

Answers to these questions and emotions are interesting. I don't have all the answers for them; but I do know that you need to forgive and to get that bitterness out of your heart. What else? I don't know exactly but I am going to try really hard to be different; to be set apart. It is unimaginably hard. When you lose hope; regain it. I know that we need more than natural to overcome but to he who overcomes gains the world.
